PUPPY KINDERGARTEN

A 4-Week Foundation Class for Puppies

 

At Bigfork Dog Training, we believe great dogs are built through clear communication, confidence, and trust — starting in puppyhood. Our Puppy Kindergarten class is designed to give your puppy the right start during their most important developmental stage.

 

Ages: 8–16 weeks 

Length: 4 weeks (1 class per week)

When: Wednesdays,  3/18, 3/25, 4/1 & 4/8 at 9:15-10 am

Class Size: Small, controlled groups

Ensure your puppy has necessary vaccinations for their age. (usually 1 set)

Puppy Foundations

This class is designed to give puppies a strong foundation for lifelong success. At Bigfork Dog Training, we focus on building confident, well-mannered puppies through clear communication, thoughtful socialization, and owner education.

Ages: 4 - 6 months old

Length: 5 weeks

When: Wednesdays, 3/18, 3/25/ 4/1, 4/8, 4/15 at 10:15-11 am

Class Size: Small, controlled groups

Basic Obedience

This class is designed for adult dogs who are new to training or need a fresh start. At Bigfork Dog Training, we focus on building reliable, everyday skills through clear communication, thoughtful structure, and confidence-building exercises.

 

Whether your dog is newly adopted, entering adolescence, or simply needs better manners, this class provides the foundation for long-term success.

 

Age: 5 months and older

Length: 5 weeks

When: Wednesdays, March 3/18, 3/25/ 4/1, 4/8, 4/15 at 11:15-12:15

Saturdays starting April 25 10:30 - 11:30 am

 Intermediate Obedience

Reliability • Focus • Real-Life Application

 

The Intermediate Dog Skills class is designed for teams who have completed a beginner foundation program or have equivalent skills and are ready to build greater reliability, duration, and focus around distractions.

 

At Bigfork Dog Training, intermediate work is where training becomes functional in everyday life, not just in class.

If interested in testing for AKC Canine Good Citizen at the end of this session, please let trainer know at registration. 

 

Prerequisite: Adult Basic Obedience or trainer approval

Age: 9 months and older

Length: 5 weeks

Class Size: Small, structured groups

When: Wednesdays, starting April 29 10 am -11 am

Adult Dog Advanced Off Leash Training

E-Collar Conditioning & Real-World Control

 

This advanced class is designed for teams ready to take their training beyond the leash using properly conditioned, proper level e-collar communication.

 

At Bigfork Dog Training, the e-collar is used as a communication and accountability tool — never punishment. Our focus is clarity, consistency, and safety in real-world environments where off-leash reliability matters.

Important Note on Our E-Collar Philosophy

 

 Low-level, humane use (this level varies by each dog)

 Clear conditioning before expectations

 Used to reinforce known behaviors

 Never used for fear, pain, or intimidation

 Dog welfare and emotional stability come first

 

This class is not appropriate for beginners or dogs without solid foundational skills.

 

Prerequisites

Handler and dog Completion of Basic and Intermediate Obedience with Bigfork Dog Training and be approved by Trainer 

 Dog is emotionally stable in group environments

 Owner commitment to follow training guidelines

 

E-collar required (specific models approved by Bigfork Dog Training).

DAY TRAIN

Our Day Train program offers structured, trainer-led training during the day while your dog returns home each afternoon. This program is ideal for dogs who need consistent guidance on obedience, behavior modification, and real-world skills without overnight boarding.

 

Training focuses on building engagement, emotional regulation, and reliable responses in a controlled environment. Owners receive guidance to support progress at home, helping ensure skills transfer into everyday life.

 

Day Train availability is limited and best suited for dogs who benefit from professional structure paired with at-home reinforcement.

Offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays. All classes are per day and needs individually registered for. Requires an evaluation for new dogs and minimum 4 day commitment within one month. Can add additional days thereafter. 

$150 per day

Rally 

Beginner Rally introduces dogs and handlers to the foundations of rally obedience in a structured, supportive group setting. This class focuses on building teamwork, engagement, and clear communication while learning basic rally signs, movement patterns, and ring readiness. Ideal for teams looking to improve focus, precision, and confidence while having fun working together.

Class Length: 6 weeks

Session Time: 1 hour

Prerequisites: Dogs should have basic leash manners and be able to work around other dogs with space and structure.

FUNGILITY

At Bigfork Dog Training, Fungility™ is about more than obstacles — it’s about building confident, thoughtful dogs through movement, problem-solving, and teamwork.

 

This class blends foundational agility-style exercises with engagement, body awareness, and emotional regulation. The focus is on clarity and confidence, not speed or competition.

 

Ages: 5 months 

Length: 45 minutes (4 weeks) (1 class per week)

Class Size: Small, structured groups

When: 

Experience: No agility experience required. Dogs should have basic leash manners and be able to work around other dogs with space and structure.

Saturdays - Starts April 25th 9:30-10:15 am

All equipment is low-impact and adjustable based on age, size, and confidence level. No dog is ever forced onto equipment — participation is choice-based and confidence-driven.

BOARD & TRAIN

Behavior Modification and Rehabilitation

Our Board & Train program offers intensive, individualized training for dogs who need more than weekly lessons. Your dog lives and trains in a calm, structured environment while receiving daily, hands-on training tailored to their behavior and temperament.

 

This program is ideal for dogs who struggle with focus, confidence, or behavior challenges in everyday life.

Specializing In:

  • Fearful and anxious dogs

  • Reactive dogs (dogs, people, environments)

  • Aggressive behavior (case-by-case, evaluation required)

  • Leash reactivity and pulling

  • Impulse control issues

  • Lack of engagement and follow-through

We focus on clarity, structure, and behavior change, not quick fixes.

All Board & Train dogs require an evaluation prior to acceptance.

TRICK DOG 

Earning Trick Dog titles is all about building an amazing bond with your dog while teaching fun, confidence-boosting skills. Every dog learns at their own pace, and every success gets celebrated.
